Blue Marlin wins the red dot design award 2008 The "Blue Marlin Knife" was awarded the 2008 "red dot" seal of quality for its design – an outstanding success considering the 24-member jury were presented with more than 3,200 products from 51 countries for judging. The red dot is one of the greatest and prestigious international design competitions.

After the worldwide renowned Red Dot Award, the now famous Blue Marlin Floor Laying Knife has won yet another design award from the American ADEX. ADEX is sponsored by the internationally recognized Design Journal, the magazine for interior designers and architects. For the first time, the entire April issue of the Journal is devoted to the ADEX and the winning products. Since the first awarding of the ADEX in 1994, over 500 companies with approximately 2000 innovative products have applied for the coveted award. A jury of top experts from the respective product areas judge the submissions and present awards in three categories: Platinum, Gold and Silver.
